Timothy Jenkins seeks election as 
Circuit Clerk



Former Republican Election Commissioner Timothy Jenkins announced today that he has officially filed and will be a candidate for Madison County Circuit Clerk.  The Republican Primary will be August 6, 2019.

Jenkins stated, “I am a candidate for Madison County Circuit Clerk because I want to help protect one of our most sacred rights, the right to vote and to make sure it counts.  As a former election commissioner, I have the experience necessary to ensure the voice of legal voters are heard.  In addition, as a member of the United States Military, I have deep respect for those who fought to provide and protect our right to vote.”

Jenkins added, “As Circuit Clerk, I will not only make sure legal votes are the only ones counted, I will ensure, as the Chief Officer of the Circuit Court, to protect the integrity of every trial by good record-keeping and protecting the evidence for which I am entrusted.”

Timothy has lived in Madison County for more than five decades and has been a long time leader in our community.  He is a businessman who knows how to manage employees and financial budgets with integrity and character.  

Timothy attended Hinds Community College, Holmes Community College and Woodland Hills Baptist Academy.  He is married to Sherri King Jenkins and children include Callie who is 23, Neil who is 21 and Mackenzi who is 16.  They attend First Baptist Church of Madison.
