GLUCKSTADT — Two new hotels are planned here as part of the Germantown Village development.

The two hotels — Springhill Suites and Home 2 Hotel — are on the March 28 Planning and Zoning Commission agenda, according to Gluckstadt Planning and Zoning Administrator Mike McCollum.

Springhill Suites will have 91 rooms, and Home 2 will have 90 rooms, McCollum said. Both hotels will be located on Calhoun Station Parkway.

McCollum noted these two hotels are part of  Germantown Village, with the first phase set to be completed sometime this year.

Once the site plan goes before the Planning and Zoning, they will discuss any changes needed, and it will then go before the Mayor and Board of Alderman to be approved, McCollum said.

“Once everything is reviewed and ready to go, we will issue a building permit to officially begin construction.”

Bellamare Development is doing the Germantown Village project and will also oversee the hotel developments.

Representatives for Bellamare were unavailable on Wednesday.

Germantown Village is a 35-acre mixed use development, according to their website. They tout  the close proximity to Nissan and the Amazon distribution center, saying that drives an “incredible amount of demand for hospitality, restaurants, retailers, and entertainment.”

Phase I, which consists of retail, restaurants, and hospitality, is under construction, with Phase II planned to begin in 2023, according to the website.

The CEO of Bellamare Development is Sandeep “Sunny” Sethi.

Among with the two hotels, the commission is set to approve site plans for PTS Sports, The Platz and Madison Motorworks.
