Art & Nature Workshop: Art in the Woods

Art & Nature Workshop: Art in the Woods

Posted

Naturalist and artist Sam Bribers is leading this workshop on drawing, painting, and journaling directly from nature.

Sam Beibers, a native of Walls, MS, has been fascinated with wildlife and art since he was a little boy. His love for the two has melded into his position as an exhibits supervisor at the Museum.

Beibers received his BFA from Delta State University and his MA from Mississippi College. His 36+ years of experience in graphic, illustrative, and fine arts complements his exhibits design work, and he feels that he has “found his home” at the Museum.

Participants are advised to wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants, brimmed hats, and closed-toe shoes. Insect repellent, sunscreen, and a water bottle are also recommended.

Tickets are $35 each. Click here to register.

Workshop enrollment is open to teens and adults. Contact Nicole Smith at 601-576-6000 or nicole.smith@mmns.ms.gov for more information.
