James Harrison "Jim" Jones, Jr., 67, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at St. Dominic Medical Center due to complications from Covid. 

Jim was born in Jackson to James Harrison and Frances Boone Jones. He graduated from Callaway High School where he was chosen as a class favorite. Jim attended Hinds Junior College and The University of Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Art's Degree in Business. After graduation from college, Jim not only discovered, but exhibited, his entrepreneurial talent by starting and selling numerous successful businesses over a period of forty years. 

An avid outdoorsman, he began filming and producing videos of his hunting excursions through his archery company. Eventually, his videos became so popular that he started several nationally syndicated television shows, which were aired on The Outdoor Channel. Jim attended Broadmoor Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents James Harrison Jones, Sr. and Frances Elizabeth Boone Jones. 

He is survived by his wife, Nancie Jones, of Madison; daughter Lauren Jones Sinclair and her husband David of Ridgeland; son James Harrison Jones III "Trip" and his wife Sara of Madison; step-children Brady Roche of Texas, Alyssa Roche of Texas, and Shane Roche of Casper, WY; grandchildren Ahladio Ponce, Reno Ponce, Benicio Ponce, Sterling Sinclair, Isabella Sinclair, Aurora Sinclair, and Jace Jones; brother David William Jones and wife Penny of Ridgeland; and sister Sandra Jones Kaster and husband Bill of Mt. Vision, NY; and his nephews and nieces, all of whom he adored. 

A memorial service was held at Broadmoor Baptist Church on February 5, 2022.  Contributions in Jim's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
