A major media outlet has named St. Andrew’s Episcopal Schoo as not only the top private school in the state but among the best in the nation.

Stephanie Garriga, assistant head of school for advancement and community relations, said that on Feb. 3 Newsweek named St. Andrew’s Episcopal School among the 50 best private schools in the United States, as well as the top private school in Mississippi.

The publication also listed St. Andrews within the top 20 percent of the highest-ranked schools.

Rankings were determined by research conducted by Niche, which previously named St. Andrew’s the #1 Best College Prep Private High School in Mississippi, #1 Best Private High School in Mississippi, and #1 Best Private K-12 School in Mississippi.

Additional factors of consideration include student-to-teacher ratio, academic rigor, student life and athletic opportunities, and diverse socioeconomic makeup of the school, Garriga said.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School consists of two campuses in the metro area. The North Campus is located at 370 Old Agency Road in Ridgeland, and the South Campus is located at 4120 Old Canton Road in Jackson.
