RIDGELAND — Police are investigating a string of car break-ins along the Lake Harbour corridor this past weekend.

Ridgeland Police Department Lt. Brian Myers said Tuesday that many of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the burglaries.

Myers said several areas along the Lake Harbor corridor were hit by auto burglars during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 8.

"ALL of the burglarized vehicles were....Left Unlocked !!!," a post on RPD social media read.

He said that a suspect or possible suspects entered the unlocked vehicles looking for small items to take.

Video footage captured a male suspect wearing a hoodie seen ducking into a garage with a partially open door and checking the handle on a truck parked inside.

Information can be given to authorities by calling (601) 856-2121.
