Robert Marion Case, age 82, of Madison, Mississippi passed away on November 14, 2021 at Baptist Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi after a brief illness.

Mr. Case, son of Francis and Ruth Case, was raised in Brandon, Mississippi before moving to Jackson. In 1989 he married the former Susan Keith Clopton. Bob & Susan Case marked their 32nd Wedding Anniversary on November 11th, 2021.

Bob attended Central High School in Jackson and went onto Hinds Junior College. He developed an interest land surveying graduating with an Associates Degree in Pre-Engineering, becoming a Registered Land Surveyor.  In 1968  he started  Case & Associates, a leading survey firm in the greater Jackson area. Mr. Case was an instrumental player in Hinds and Madison County always involved in new developments.  Throughout his career he served on the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers And Surveyors, as well as the Mississippi Association Of Professional Surveyors. Mr. Buster Bailey, a boyhood friend and business associate reflected, “Bob was a wonderful friend through life. We go all the way back to high school and I was fortunate to have, not only his friendship, but his professional guidance in a multitude of projects during the development of Highland Colony Parkway. He will be missed by many.” 

Mr. Case was also an accomplished marksman and collector of rare antique firearms. He shared his passion for marksmanship and hunting with his wife Susan, which took them well beyond Mississippi to Alaska, British Columbia, Argentina, Mexico and South Africa. The Case house was well known for the types and varieties of mounted wild game.

In addition to his wife Susan, his survivors also include his four children; son Robert M. Case, Jr., wife Mitzi, their two children Robert and Reece; John Stephen Case and his children John Stephen Jr. and Ross Case; Ruth Suzanne (Suzy) Case and her children Olivia Suzanne Mahaffey and Mason Roberts Mahaffey and wife Maddy; and Bethany Breland (Bebe) Case and her daughter Madelaine Breland Mangum, all of Madison.  Bob also leaves behind two brothers; Tom Case of Brandon and his family and Jim Case of Houston, TX.

He also leaves behind his sweet rescue dogs Stella and Maggie.  

The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to animal rescue organizations of your choice.
