Strain wins re-election in Madison landslide

MADISON — Alderman-at-Large Sandra Strain won re-election, complete but unofficial returns show.
Republican Strain had 1,283 votes, or 87% of the total vote, to Democrat Janice Jackson’s 197 votes, or 13% of the total votes in Tuesday’s general election.
All other incumbent Republican aldermen and Republican incumbent Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler ran unopposed for reelection in Tuesday’s general election and will serve another term in their respective offices.
