Madison, MS (03/24/2023) – This morning the directors, volunteers and staff of the Animal Rescue Fund (ARF) of MS, Animal Rescue Front, Inc. (ARF) of MA, Cheshire Abbey Animal Rescue, Jackson Friends of the Animal Shelter, Mississippi Animal Rescue League (MARL) and Rescue Revolution of MS and the Webster Animal Shelter presented a Certificate of Recognition for Distinguished Volunteer Service to Catherine Gunnell Gatlin for her selfless and tireless efforts in rescuing and furthering the well-being of stray and homeless animals in the Jackson metropolitan area.

Over the past decade and beyond, Cathy has reunited pets with their families, rescued wildlife in precarious harm, temporarily housed homeless animals often transporting them to new homes, and arranged for veterinarian services for homeless pets often at her own expense.  Cathy has helped track down and save untold numbers of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens many times braving adverse weather and other conditions in the process.  Cathy’s devotion has furthered the goals and mission of the protection of animals.

The rescue organizations presented the certificate to Cathy at the Webster Animal Shelter with her friends and family present for the ceremony.
