Week 7 High School Pick’em

Two local rivals feature in this week’s game of the week, as Tri-County Academy hosts Canton Academy on Friday night. Tri-County has been dominant this season in their MAIS 4A title defense, sitting at 5-0 with a 35.6-point average margin of victory. Canton Academy has also had a solid season so far, sitting at 3-2 with those two losses coming by single digits. Tri-County won last year’s matchup between the two teams, with a dominant 43-6 performance in Canton. 

This week’s guest picker is current Kansas City Chiefs Linebacker and Tri-County Academy alum, Swayze Bozeman. Bozeman was a star for the Rebels in his high school days, leading Tri-County to two state championship appearances, while also being a three-sport athlete. Out of high school, he played two years at Co-Lin before transferring to Southern Miss. With the Golden Eagles, he was a star for the Southern Miss defense, which earned him an undrafted free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason. Bozeman is currently in his rookie season with the defending Super Bowl champions.
