Geneva Staires

Geneva Staires of Jackson and Madison, Mississippi passed away on January 17, 2024 in Montgomery, Alabama at the age of 90. 

She was born on September 4, 1933 to the late, Homer Noah and Viola Alice White Johns. 

She is survived by her children; Paul Staires, Martha Staires Givens (Bill), Mark Staires; grandchildren: David Givens (Ruth), Daniel Givens (Hali), Jason Givens (Sarah), Tony Staires (Stephanie), Andrea Patterson (Adam), and Deanna Langhout (Craig); 12 great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members. 

She was a member of First Baptist Church Ridgeland of Ridgeland, MS. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by those who knew her. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Ridgeland.
