Main Street, Olympic Way road closures will last a week

MADISON — Road closures at the railroad will impact drivers here starting Monday.

Starting Monday, July 17, at 7:30 a.m., railroad crossings on Main Street and Olympic Way will be closed for work through Friday, according to Madison Police.

Motorists are advised to use Madison Parkway and Madison Avenue as alternate routes.

The roadways at the railroad crossings will remain closed at these points until Friday, July 21 at 3 p.m., according to MPD.

Residents of North Place will need to enter and exit their neighborhood from Post Oak Road, officials said.

Businesses on Main Street will not be affected by any closures, MPD said.

“Patrons may access businesses on the west side of the railroad tracks by way of Post Oak Rd (from Madison Parkway) or Madison Parkway,” according to an MPD release. “Patrons visiting businesses on the east side of the railroad tracks can access those establishments from Hwy 51.”
