No suspects in Canton murder

CANTON — The body of a man with a gunshot wound who was dumped out of a vehicle here on Christmas Eve remains under investigation.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Levor Taylor.

“This is an ongoing investigation,” Canton Police Chief Otha Brown said.

Brown said Taylor’s body was discovered at about 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 24 near the corner of West Dinkins Street and Jewell Williams Boulevard.

He said police were responding to a call reporting a body had been dumped at that location. 

The investigation showed the victim had a single gunshot wound that went through his left side with an exit wound through his chest.

As of Wednesday, Brown said there are no suspects and they don’t have a vehicle description.
