Myers said the lines went down about 10:45 a.m. and were back operational by 2:15 p.m.

The post noted that RPD was working to get the lines back up and running and noted that 911 was still working for emergency calls.

“Sorry for the inconvenience,” the social media post said.

Myers said he is not aware of any issues related to the administrative lines being down. and no other capabilities of the police department were seriously impacted by the outage.

RPD later offered an update that the lines were up and running again.
