T-Mobile opens new Madison location

MADISON — T-Mobile has a brand new location here off Highway 463 and plans to deliver high quality products and expert customer service to phone owners in the city. 

Madison Community Partners held a ribbon cutting for the new location on Sep. 22, and multiple city officials including Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler, Mayor’s Assistant Janet Danks, aldermen, Madison police officers, and local business representatives attended the event. 

T-Mobile Retail Manager Michael King said T-Mobile has been in other places across Mississippi such as Hattiesburg and Vicksburg, but this is their first location in Madison. 

“We are very excited about opening and our major focus for this store and T-Mobile in general is communication,” King said. “I was talking to the mayor about how we are here to volunteer. We’re here to have fun, and we want to make sure everyone feels welcome and included in our store. We are making it a full community space, and this is one of the newest formats of our T-Mobile locations. You won’t find another one like it and it is very particular to Madison.” 

Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler said she expects the new store to do well and that the city is looking forward to partnering with T-Mobile for future events. 

“This is a wonderful place and we have people who are very proud of this place and they are all about family,” Hawkins-Butler said. “You’ve honored us by choosing to be in downtown Madison. I look forward to talking to all of you about future events.” 

T-Mobile is based in Germany and offers international phone coverage in more than 215 countries.
