The trial of embattled former Madison County Engineer Rudy Warnock, scheduled to begin this week in U.S. federal court, has been continued again, this time to Oct. 1.

Madison County has recovered over $1.4 million in millions they were scammed out of earlier this year by fraudsters claiming to be a construction company.

Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker is asking supervisors to increase his budget by about $1 million for the next fiscal year to increase the starting pay for new deputies so that they can compete with other jurisdictions. 

Madison County Schools started the new year last week.
