GLUCKSTADT — A popular pizza restaurant introduced a new fast-casual concept when it opened its second Madison County location here in early December.

Jim Creamer, director of new store development for Soulshine Pizza, said they opened their Gluckstat location on the Calhoun Station Parkway on Dec. 4.

“It’s been fantastic,” Creamer said. “A bunch of our fans who live out here have really flocked toward us.”

The Gluckstadt location introduces a new fast-casual concept for the restaurant geared toward mobile ordering, allowing customers to place an order online and seamlessly walk into the restaurant and pick up their order.

Soulshine offers carryout options and both indoor and outdoor seating and has several televisions.

"Come see us anytime," General Manager Lauren Leard said.

Soushine was first established in Flowood in 2001 and offers gourmet pizzas, calzones, oven-baked sandwiches and salads “with a soulful, Delta twist.” the name is inspired by The Allman Brothers Band song of the same name.

Soulshine has three other locations including the spots in Ridgeland and Flowood and another in Franklin, Tenn.

Creamer said they hope to open another location in Gallatin, Tenn., in May that follows the fast-casual concept in Gluckstadt.
